FEAR OR FOCUS?

Submitted and shared by Pastor Michael Frisbee

I receive daily emails from a number of ministries - one being "Stand Strong Through The Storm". The stories and articles shared are real life, real people, living outside the United States as Christians, and the trials they face. Reading them makes me realize that my difficulties are minor to what tens of thousands of Christians under dictatorships and such deal with day to day.

Today's struck me, for it reflected a discussion I had with a non Christian over the weekend, and the big hub-bub of when Christ was or wasn't returning. In the end I said, it wouldn't matter, for if I am walking in Christ in full faith and saved through rebirth in Christ, then I will either be raptured up before Tribulation, or if I have to live through Tribulation (post trib rapture), I would not fear death, for it will only bring me to Christ's feet and into His arms.

Read this, and be blessed by it. Think to yourself, "Could I be that strong to stand in Christ?"

What Of Salvation?

By Pastor Michael Frisbee

While talking about salvation and how wonderful it is, and how comforting to know it, a Christian friend said to me, "One day I was standing and talking with a Christian who made the statement, ‘saving faith is the gift of God.’ Immediately I sat down and rested my weary soul and body. From that day I knew I was saved and have been rejoicing in that knowledge and shall forever!"

This Christian learned this from Ephesians 2:8 where we read that "salvation" comes "by grace" (God's favor) "through faith" (confidence in Christ's saving work for us) and Paul tells us, "This (salvation) is not of you" - you are not the source of salvation, you have nothing to do with it, no human can save himself or help in the saving process. It is "a gift ---It is from God" (literally "from God is the gift")

So salvation is God's gift to the person who has faith and puts his trust only in Jesus' sacrifice, therefore "faith is God's gift."

2012 Spring Time Reflection and Resolutions

By Stephen Piersall

Here we are on the door step of the month of May, four months have gone by and I was talking with some other vet's at the VA today about 2012 New Year's resolutions and where we are on our individual lists. For me I'm still in stride with getting healthier with food, fitness, life styles and my marriage with Karen. Some wanted to quit smoking, drinking, losing weight, etc and I'm sure many us have come to this month in our year wondering what happened to our goals we set for ourselves. Perhaps people have gained weight, drink the same, drive by the gym, etc. But it's not too late to get after it again.

Winning The Invisible War - Ephesians 6:10-24

By Pastor Michael Frisbee

This article is an adaptation of a sermon I did several months ago, and it was based on a sermon that Pastor Jerry Vines presented some 20 years ago, back when the leaders of our churches were occasionally still preaching about spiritual warfare. We need a restoration of this area of preaching and instruction from the pulpit.

Whether you know it or not, if you are a born again Christian, you are in a spiritual war. More than likely, you have been kept in the dark about this war, since many churches have fallen away from teaching and preaching this gospel truth. However, if you spend any time reading the New Testament, studying Christ’s teachings and ministry, as well as the teachings and ministry of the Apostle Paul, you can’t but help know and understand that the war is real.

The moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, give Him and the Holy Spirit the throne in our spirit and heart, we paint a target on our back that Satan and his demonic minions seek out, with possible fatal results. Such knowledge is scary, even horrifying is it not? Do not fear, do not fret, for there is an awesome Truth that goes with it, and that is when Christ died on that Cross to pay for our sins, He rose again three days later. When He did that, HE HAD THE ULTIMATE VICTORY OVER SATAN AND ALL WHO FOLLOW HIM!

False Comfort

By Kristine McGuire

When I was a witch and medium, I believed I had the knowledge and skill to protect myself from "negative" spirits, magick, energy, as I practiced the Craft. I believed I was the one in control.

The truth is I was deceived.

I believed casting a protective circle or enveloping myself in "white light/energy" was beneficial. I thought I had the power or access to power which could accomplish my goals. I didn't realize the very spirits I was trusting as guides, elemental and earth spirit allies, or deities were less than trustworthy.

Recognizing False Teachers

By Pastor Michael Frisbee

We are living in a day where there is a flood of false teaching. I think more false teaching is among us today than I have ever witnessed in my entire life. The religious world is like a zoo with every shape and every stripe of religious animal. Just about anything you want to believe you can find a religion today which will teach it.

If you don't want to believe there's a hell, then there is a religion that will teach that there is no hell. If you want to use drugs and have promiscuous sex and do it in the name of religion, there is a religion out there that will allow you to do so. If you want to lay aside your Bible and totally disregard the Word of God, there are religions today that will make it possible for you to do that very thing.

Communicating with the Dead

By Kristine McGuire

Here at The Paranormal Christian, Rev Mark and I have been diligently trying to inform and educate the paranormal investigative community about the dangers and realities of active EVP collection and what it is that they are really connecting with.  One of our former guests on the show, Kristine McGuire (author, Escaping the Cauldron), wrote this excellent article that supports the very premises we have been trying to pass to you.  Many thanks to Kristine for allowing us to re-print her article for our readers. - Pastor Frisbee

There have always been people who have pursued occult practices. Individuals or groups seeking deeper connection with something greater than themselves.

In ancient days, individuals would seek communication with spirits or deities through rituals, divination, and necromancy for knowledge of the future or guidance. This is why civilizations such as the Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians had magicians, seers, and priests who used magick and ritual to inquire of their gods. There were mediums in the land who communicated with the dead (Israel had many neighboring civilizations who used these practices) for similar reasons.

Beyond Sunday: Is Union with Christ Mysticism?

I receive a number of newsletters and such from various Christian sources.  One of these sources is called "Beyond Sunday".  Today's broadcast touched on an area I believe applies well to the paranormal realm, especially where people ask me "What do you mean, 'To be in Christ'?" - Pastor Michael Frisbee

Ephesians 1:7-14

"7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory."

Now Launching - The Paranormal Christian Blog

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I have decided to launch this blog in order to better refine and focus the message this ministry seeks to convey. The past articles that Reverend Mark and I have written and post at the Eye On The Paranormal will be added and archived here, I personally could no longer be associated with the content by other authors there, a few of which were so beyond the credulous and very anti-Christian in some content. However, I still support Kirby Robinson and the work he does, and wish him well in his endeavors.

We will be covering topics here much as we do on our web show at BTVN TV. Coming to BTVN TV is the Capernaum Restoration Network (CRN-TV) at which I will be helping to develop, produce and present Christian programming that will educate, inform, edify, and restore within Christians the full teachings and gospels of Jesus Christ.

The Paranormal Christian Show will be one of the first shows to be part of the new CRN-TV.

Our focus here at The Paranormal Christian Blog will be exactly what our description says:

Shining the Light of God's Truth upon the Demonic and Deceptive Doctrines of the New Age and Occult that permeates the Paranormal Realm

We will also be inviting, as well as seeking, Christian contributors to add their insights and thoughts, all of which stands on Biblical scripture and a Biblical Worldview.

If you would like to be one of our Guest Contributors, please contact Pastor Frisbee at pastorfrisbee@theparanormalchristian.com

Just a Quick Update

By Pastor Michael Frisbee

Things have been crazy around the office and busy with the ministry so I did not have the time to write a full out article today, but I have had something laying on my heart and spirit that I feel I must address, but it will take some thought and mulling over as to how to approach it, and present it, to you the reader. I hope to present that article next week.

I do want to say this to those that have been criticizing me around the social sphere in regards to my “narrowness” of faith and belief. My faith and belief does not come from any denomination, church, or other type of “religion”. It comes directly from the Word of God, the Bible.

Capernaum

By Pastor Michael Frisbee

Capernaum will mean little to those that have not studied their Bibles, specifically, the New Testament. It was a small fishing village that existed from second century BC and thrived until the seventh century AD. It was located on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, and it was here that Christ’s first disciples James, John, Peter, and Andrew lived and Jesus chose this village as his “home base” for most of his public ministry. Matthew also lived and worked here as a tax collector.

It was here in Capernaum that Jesus healed the servant of a Roman Centurion (Matthew 8:5-13). So grateful was he, the officer had a small synagogue built in Jesus name there in Capernaum, the remains of which can be found under the larger, newer synagogue that was built later. It was in the local synagogue that Jesus taught on the Sabbath, and where He confronted the demon possessed man (Mark 1:21-28). It was here that people recognized the authority in Jesus ministry and teachings, and of the man himself, as Son of God.
